What Should You
look For?
While selecting a metal for
requirement in water & gas applications, a buyer should look for
properties such as compliance to safety and quality standards,
compactness, ease of bending, ease of joining, resistance to
corrosion, semi-rigid material material, universal availability and
light weight, which are all found in copper metal.
It is also important to consider factors such as cost benefit,
labor savings, size, thickness, cost-effectiveness for both low and
high pressure systems. Copper should be preferred over steel pipes
as it is ideally suited for retro-fit and remodeling applications.
Generally a buyer should look for attributes that matches his
particular requirements, such as the type of distribution system,
which may be low pressure or elevated pressure depending on the
light or heavy installation. |
